Aisea Lupeheke Taimani is a Tongan Creative Artist & Psalmist, born and raised out of Newark, CA by parents & pastors Vaka & Neomai Taimani. He is the brother of Teolosia, Barry, Vaka Jr. & Toakase. He is also Uncle to 6 nieces & 1 nephew.
As a pastors son, Aisea grew up serving alongside his family at the First Tongan Assembly of God Church in San Carlos, where his mother and father still serve at.
Over the past 20 years, Aisea has spent his life focusing on serving youth and congregations as a creative psalmist; speaking, performing and teaching both internationally and nationally.
Aisea Taimani is also a recording artist, releasing his first full record “Closer To Home” this fall, a project inspired by the prodigal son narrative, with a cultural emphasis that parallels the spiritual journey back home.
Nickel and the Spare Change is a worship band with an ever-changing lineup of musicians and singers. The group is composed primarily of young adults who have served as summer staff with Living Water Ministries led by Program Innovator Nicole McCarthy (the Nickel). Each member is passionate about connecting with God through music and excited to help lead worship at the Great Lakes Gathering in 2018.
