The "99" Weekend

The “99” Weekend is a wonderful opportunity for the generations to be united because there is always a strong emphasis on building friend and family togetherness in a lighthearted manner and enjoying camp in a relaxed, friendly environment. On Friday evening we will teach the basics of the simple card game, “99.” “99” is reminiscent of Uno, but uses a standard deck of cards and has its own unique qualities. It is most fun when played in groups of 9 or more. On Saturday, in addition to open recreation time for canoeing, swimming, and hiking, we will have morning and afternoon review and practice sessions. Children of all ages can participate in these sessions. Saturday evening we will hold what we call the Summer Championship Game. Players ages 9-99 can participate. Then enjoy a camp worship, service and some additional quiet time by our lakes before departing for home. Throughout the weekend there will be ample time to swim, hike, canoe, sleep, sing, read, play games, have campfires and skits, as well as to make new friends and renew old friendships.
