Qualifications

The Director Partnerships and Programs shall be a person who supports the mission, vision, and core values of Living Water Ministries, our commitment to the ministry of Jesus Christ, and the work of the church. The successful candidate will have a strong command of grace-filled theology.  They shall have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with gifts in community building, communication, creativity, organization, customer service, budgeting, and critical thinking.  Must be self-motivated, and detail oriented.  Experience and knowledge working with web-based applications, email, and Microsoft Office required.  Bachelor’s degree required.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Director of Partnerships and Programs shall be accountable to the Director of Operations.  They shall cultivate new partnerships with organizations and congregations, while also strengthening relationships with existing partners and churches.  In addition, they shall oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all Living Water Ministries programs.  Performance will be evaluated after three months, six months, and annually thereafter.  Evaluation will include accountability to performance, as measured by progress toward annual goals, relationships with staff and constituents, and accuracy & detail of work.

Classification of Employee:

Regular Full Time
Three-year term of employment, provided accountability to performance requirements are met. Renewable based on measurable performance.

Partnership Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a clear and compelling outreach plan that highlights the benefits and impact of the mission, vision, and core values of Living Water Ministries and our programs, aligned with the needs and interests of potential partners and congregations.
  • Prioritize outreach efforts that directly address the unique needs and challenges faced by marginalized individuals and communities, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and equity in the partnership development process.
  • Build trust and rapport with potential partners and congregations by participating in their events and activities, demonstrating genuine interest in their missions and values.
  • Identify common goals and shared values between Living Water Ministries and potential partners and congregations to create a strong foundation for collaboration and life together.
  • Maintain communication and connection with new partners, demonstrating an enduring commitment to a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Provide quarterly updates and reports on the progress and results of outreach efforts.
  • Make strategic congregational visits as assigned, leveraging exceptional storytelling skills to engage and inspire audiences, effectively conveying the mission and impact of the organization while inviting participation.
  • Attend annual denominational assemblies, leadership events, conventions, or themed events that are relevant to the work of Living Water Ministries or as assigned.

Program Responsibilities

  • Oversee content for all program offerings.
    • Provide leadership and oversight for the program ideation process, exploring new, innovative, and mission-focused program opportunities that are responsive to the needs of existing and prospective LWM constituents.
    • Provide oversight for the acquisition, development, and implementation of curriculum for all Living Water Ministries programs.
    • Provide oversight of staff and volunteers involved in the development and implementation of program operations (ex. Charge mentors, summer program committee, focus groups, etc.).
    • Participate in the programs of Living Water Ministries to the extent necessary for proper supervision and evaluation.
  • Provide oversight of summer operations at Stony Lake, including:
    • Provide for the recruitment, hiring, training, management, supervision, evaluation, stewardship, and leadership of seasonal program and support staff.
    • In cooperation with the Director of Operations, maintain ACA (American Camp Association) accreditation, state licensing, and industry standards for safety, health care, food service, summer operations, program and risk management best practices and policies.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to provide program insights that impact the adaptation of registration systems, participant communications, and the annual program schedule.
    • Provide support to seasonal food service leadership staff, collaboratively making menu selections and placing food orders to ensure the camp’s dietary needs are met efficiently, effectively, and with fiscal responsibility.
    • Manage the purchasing and restocking of items to be sold in the camp store that meet constituent needs and preferences, collaborating with the Director of Development and Marketing to ensure alignment with branding.
    • Communicate immediate facility needs to the Director of Facilities, and communicate preferences for facility adaptations that meet the evolving needs of existing or new programs to the Director of Operations.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide for accurate, organized, and detailed financial oversight of partnerships and programs, including:
    • Manage budget items related to partnership development and programming.
    • Be responsible for receipt submission for purchases and petty cash expenditures.
    • Work collaboratively with other year-round staff & volunteers to develop and follow annual budgets through advanced planning.
  • Execute annual goals and any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Other Expectations

The position will require residence at the facilities of Living Water Ministries at Stony Lake in New Era, MI for the duration of the summer season. (Approximately May 25 – August 15)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stretch and reach, use hands and fingers to operation a computer and telephone, and will occasionally be expected to lift boxes or materials weighting up to twenty pounds.  The position requires extensive travel by car.  Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Continuing Education

Continuing education is available, and as arranged with and approved by the Director of Operations.

Salary Range

$43,000.00 – $48,000.00
